Abseil up for Bunbury tilt

Abseil and Hosted Keynes head the list of 62 acceptors for Saturday's 666bet Bunbury Cup at Newmarket.

The Sir Michael Stoute-trained Abseil was too keen for his own good when sent off favourite for the Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot and could tackle seven furlongs for the first time in his career this weekend.

Horsted Keynes, trained by Roger Varian, also came up short in an Ascot handicap but he ran a fine race when going down by three-quarters of a length behind Louis The Pious in the Buckingham Palace Stakes.

David O'Meara's Watchable finished just another three-quarters of a length behind Horsted Keynes in Berkshire and reopposes on 3lb better terms.

The weights are topped by the Richard Hannon-trained Professor, who is also prominent in the ante-post markets, while Sirius Prospect and Glen Moss are next on the list.

Other notable horses to have stood their ground at the six-day stage are Erijaal, Field Of Dream and Bronze Angel.
