Adams: Squad building goes on
Ross County manager Derek Adams admits he would like to add further to his squad after drafting in three new recruits in the first week of January.
After suffering six straight defeats in the league, Adams added Jordan Slew, Evangelos Oikonomou and Michael Tidser to his playing staff.
Blackburn striker Slew is on loan from until the end of the season while Oikonomou, a defender with Greek side Veria, is in his second loan spell at Victoria Park.
Rotherham midfielder Tidser completes the trio of loanees who have had an immediate impact on County's fortunes with Slew and Tidser figuring during two victories - over Inverness and St Johnstone - in the opening four days of the year.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Adams, who is close to adding Cardiff midfielder Filip Kiss to his squad, said: "We've been quick off the mark because we obviously want to improve on the season we have had.
"We did the same last season when we took in six players in January and released nine. It's just a natural progression with the football club.
"We have taken in younger players this season, boys who have not had experience of the SPFL and we've given them that opportunity.
"And we also want to take in players who have had experience of playing in England and abroad, just to give the players we have here a fighting chance.
"And we are looking to add another one or two players in the transfer window to take it to six if we possibly can."
