Agbonlahor: Hull game massive

Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has labelled this weekend's Premier League clash with Hull City as the biggest game of the players' careers.

Villa sit just three points above the drop zone after a disastrous run of form and they could find themselves dragged into trouble if they fail to take anything from the Hull clash.

Villa face a tricky end to the campaign with away trips to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur to come, and Agbonlahor knows they cannot afford any slip ups if they are to secure their Premier League survival

"We're not going to hide away from it," said Agbonlahor. "There is a lot of pressure on the game. But we have got experienced players in there and hopefully everyone will rise to the occasion and get the result.

"It could be the biggest game of all our careers so far because of what is at stake. To keep a club the size of Aston Villa in the Premier League is a massive thing."

Agbonlahor insists performances do not matter in the final three games and it is all down to winning points.

"We know we've been up and down and inconsistent as a team but at this stage of the season you've just got to try and get the points on the board," he added.

"All the teams down the bottom now are trying to get good results rather than focus on playing well.

"Form goes out of the window now. We've got to treat it like a cup game."

Long-serving Villa forward Agbonlahor also admits they cannot afford to take Hull lightly, hoping their opponents are distracted by their upcoming FA Cup final appearance.

"We can't afford to think that because of the FA Cup they will be a less strong side," continued the England international.

"They are going to want to beat us when they come to Villa Park."
