All Blacks draft in Crotty
Canterbury Crusaders centre Ryan Crotty has been called into the All Blacks squad ahead of their opening Rugby Championship game against Australia in Sydney.
The uncapped 24-year-old will provide cover for Francis Saili, who will be out of action for a week after injuring his ankle during the All Blacks' practice match in Wellington on Friday.
Saili, 22, was one of three players who had not been selected in the official squad but were training with the travelling party and Crotty will fulfil a similar role.
It is unclear if Crotty will travel to Sydney for next Saturday's match given other injuries within the squad, with Ma'a Nonu nursing an ankle problem and prop Wyatt Crockett also struggling.
