All well with Sprinter Sacre

Nicky Henderson reports all to be well with Sprinter Sacre as the brilliant two-mile chaser builds-up steadily after having a heart scare when beaten at Kempton last Christmas.

The Tingle Creek at Sandown on December 6, which he won in 2012 on the way to taking the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, would be the main objective in the first half of the campaign.

"He's been back in five weeks and cantering for two. He looks exceptionally well and so far it's been great," he told Channel 4 Racing.

"You have no option I don't think, but to go straight to the Tingle Creek. There's nowhere else to go.

"He would go for the Shloer at Cheltenham if he was ready. I just think we'll see how things are going. There isn't much for him other than the Tingle Creek and the Victor Chandler (before Cheltenham).

"I don't think there's any need for heart monitors or anything like that. We'll know with the first bit of work he does."
