Allsop could be loaned out
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe admits he may loan out young goalkeeper Ryan Allsop next season.
After featuring in the Cherries' opening 12 games of last season, Allsop was sent off against Leeds in October and was subsequently dropped in favour of Lee Camp.
The south coast side also have goalkeepers Daryl Flahavan and Benji Buchel on their books, and Howe admits he may look to the loan market in his quest to improve Allsop's game.
\"We have a really strong team of goalkeepers who will hopefully push each other on to better displays,\" the Bournemouth boss told the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
\"Lee played the majority of games but Ryan was always pushing him and Darryl helped with Ryan's development.
"At some stage, I might have to juggle the goalkeeping department to try to get Ryan games because, at his age, he needs to be playing regularly as well.
\"Depending on how things go during pre-season, I would probably look to get Ryan out for his own development.\"
Flahavan and Buchel have both recently penned new one-year deals, and Howe is looking for both stoppers to contribute next season.
"They bring totally different things. Benji had an excellent end to the season during a loan spell with Havant & Waterlooville. We believe he has the capabilities to be a very good goalkeeper and just needs games and experience to show it," the Cherries manager said.
"We are looking to move his career forward next season because we feel he has great potential.
\"Darryl is an excellent professional and very good in the dressing room and on the training ground. He is still a very good goalkeeper as he proved at Leeds last season where he was unfortunate to pick up an injury," he added.
\"He has the experience, professionalism and the right mentality to complement the other boys.\"
