Bristol have signed utility back Charlie Amesbury from Sale Sharks.
The 26-year-old, a wing or full-back, will join the Championship club at the end of the season.
Amesbury, who has also played for Harlequins and Newcastle, has played 13 times for Sale this season, scoring two tries.
Bristol coach Liam Middleton said: "Charlie has impressed me in the Aviva Premiership this season and I'm very pleased to be able to bring him to Bristol Rugby.
"He is a real attacking threat with the ball in hand, has good acceleration and an impressive ability to bust tackles and beat defenders.
"Charlie is hungry for success and is a great character who will fit well into the club environment. He will provide genuine quality to the crop of exciting backs that we are developing within the club."
Amesbury said: "I'm excited about joining Bristol - a club that is clearly building for the future. Liam Middleton impressed me with the style of rugby and type of culture that he is building there.
"There is lots that I want to achieve in my career and I'm confident I'm coming to a place where I can develop my game and help Bristol achieve Aviva Premiership status."
