Anderson red card overturned

Aberdeen defender Russell Anderson has had his red card rescinded after the club's appeal was upheld by the Scottish Football Association.

Anderson was dismissed by referee George Salmond during Saturday's SPL game at Inverness, which ended 1-1.

He was given his marching orders for bringing down Shane Sutherland inside the box and Richie Foran converted the resulting penalty for the opening goal for the home side.

However, a claim of wrongful dismissal was accepted by an SFA fast track tribunal which convened on Thursday to consider the case and the red card has been scrapped.
