Arc beckons for Tres Blue
Tres Blue booked his place in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe with a gutsy triumph at Deauville on Sunday.
The progressive three-year-old colt came out on top from Penglai Pavilion and Slow Pace in a three-way photo finish to the Group Two Grand Prix de Deauville to add to his Group Three success there earlier in the month.
Trainer Alex Pantall feels the next step for the son of Anabaa Blue is the Arc at Longchamp on October 6.
"He is very well after the race. It was a very pleasing performance," said Pantall, who trains at Beaupreau in the north west of France. "I think he will run in the Arc."
Pantall reports his talented three-year-old filly Kenhope in the frame for the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown on September 7.
"It is possible Kenhope will run in the Matron at Leopardstown. She has been running very well," he said.
Since winning twice in the spring, Kenhope has run creditably at the highest level, finishing second to Sky Lantern in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot and third to Elusive Kate in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville.
