Ardley angry with defeat
AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley cut a frustrated figure following their 2-1 loss to Oxford.
Two quality goals from Tom Newey and debutant David Connolly boosted caretaker boss Mickey Lewis' chances of getting the Oxford job on a permanent basis.
The Dons pulled one goal back through Charlie Wyke, but Ardley said: "It's very disappointing because I had a real feeling we could get something from this game.
"Ultimately two moments of madness have cost us.
"We've done 95 per cent of our game well so to lose it is crazy.
"It's hard to criticise my players because they have done everything I've asked of them in terms of winning battles, but we didn't do it where it matters in the box.
"Apart from the set piece and Connolly's goal I don't think there were too many times when we were opened up.
"But the set piece goal did us. After that we were chasing the game."
