Arsenal v Cardiff preview
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be without striker Olivier Giroud and Kieran Gibbs for the New Year's Day game against Cardiff.
Giroud, who broke his 499-minute goal drought at the weekend, has sustained an ankle injury, while a calf complaint rules Gibbs out of contention.
Midfielders Tomas Rosicky (calf) and Jack Wilshere (ankle) both face fitness tests, as does England forward Theo Walcott (shoulder). Defenders Nacho Monreal and Thomas Vermaelen have both been laid low by illness.
Former Cardiff midfielder Aaron Ramsey will not face his former employer after sustaining a thigh injury against West Ham, while Mesut Ozil continues to recover from shoulder inflammation.
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Abou Diaby and Yaya Sanogo all remain long-term absentees for the league leaders.
Cardiff City caretaker manager David Kerslake will be without Craig Bellamy for the New Year's Day trip to London.
The veteran forward has been struggling with a knee injury and will not feature for the Bluebirds at the Emirates, while left-back Andrew Taylor is also set to miss out with a knock.
As a result, teenager Declan John should continue in defence, while Kerslake may decide to recall Aron Gunnarsson and Peter Odemwingie to his side.
