The midfielder arrived from Derby on Tuesday on a three-month loan deal and could well start at the Emirates, although new boss Mark Robins has lost the service of two loanees.
Midfielder Conor Henderson arrived last Friday from the Gunners and is ineligible to play against his parent club, while striker David McGoldrick is cup-tied having featured for Nottingham Forest earlier in the competition.
Steven Jennings will be assessed but is expected to be fit having being forced off in the first half of Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Carlisle.
The loss - Robins' first game at the helm - was the Sky Blues' fourth successive defeat and left them winless from their opening eight league matches.
