Top seed Victoria Azarenka will play Serena Williams in the final of the Madrid Open on Sunday.
Belarusian Azarenka, seeking a fifth title of the year, was a 6-2 6-4 winner against Agnieszka Radwanska - the sixth time she has defeated the Pole this season.
Azarenka, a finalist in this event last year, clinched victory in 79 minutes on Saturday to set up a final against Williams, who defeated Lucie Hradecka 7-6 (7-5) 6-0.
After the United States player had won the first set tie-break, the game reached a rapid conclusion as Williams broke her Czech opponent three times to ease to a 12th successive win on clay.
