Azzaoui on verge of Spurs move
Tottenham are believed to be close to agreeing a deal to sign highly-rated teenager Ismail Azzaoui from Anderlecht.
The 16-year-old right-footed attacking midfielder is understood to have turned down a professional contract from his club in favour of a move to the Premier League.
Tim Sherwood's side already have the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Nacer Chadli from Belgium on their books and are now close to bringing in Belgian wonderkid Azzaoui.
Anderlecht are well known for nurturing young talent after Adnan Januzaj came through the ranks before joining Manchester United in 2011.
And head of youth development Jean Kindermans admits the club seem destined to lose Azzaoui to Spurs.
He told Het Laatste Niuws: "When players become 16 we offer them a development plan and later a financial plan. We aren't going to change our way of working.
"We've heard Spurs are interested in Azzaoui and it's the player's right to make a choice.
"We regret he's going to be leaving us, but you can't compare this loss to Adnan Januzaj's move to Manchester United a few years ago."
