Tickets for this year's Bahrain Grand Prix have finally gone on sale.
With the race just two months away, scheduled for April 20-22, the event is one of the last of this season's 20 grands prix to release tickets to the general public
It would appear with the passing of last Tuesday's anniversary of the Day of Rage, race organisers believe the time is now right to start to publicise one of Bahrain's biggest sporting events.
Anti-government demonstrations a year ago, which resulted in a number of deaths, forced the 2011 race to be cancelled.
However, Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone has made it clear that unless the situation in Bahrain takes a considerable turn for the worse, there is no reason why the sport cannot be accommodated again.
The event is to be run under the slogan 'UniF1ed - One Nation in Celebration', with the hope it will generate an economic impact on Bahrain of between £190-315million.
Bahrain International Circuit chief executive Sheikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said: "There is already a lot of anticipation for the event and a lot of interest has been generated.
"Corporate clients have shown a lot of interest as well and we are sure the event will be a sell-out."
