
Great Britain's Jamie Baker and James Ward are both through to the second round of Australian Open qualifying.
Baker recorded a straight sets victory over Julio Cesar Campozano on Wednesday.
The world number 246 triumphed 6-3 7-5 over the Ecuadorian in one hour and 32 minutes on court 14.
Baker put in a solid performance, making just one unforced error against an opponent who, before this contest, was ranked 24 places higher.than the 26-year-old Briton.
Baker will take on the winner of Matwe Middelkoop against 19th seed Matteo Viola.
Ward joined his compatriot in the second round with a straight-sets win over Boris Pashanski of Serbia.
Ward, the British number four, beat his 30-year-old opponent 6-4 6-3 in one hour 12 minutes.
Ward broke four times, dropping his serve just once in the first set, to claim a comfortable win.
