Ballesteros to follow dad's route

Seve Ballesteros' son Javier competes on the Spanish Peugeot Tour on Thursday on the same Sant Cugat course where his late father played.

The Barcelona course is the very same one where his late father played his first professional tournament in 1974.

A law student in Madrid, Ballesteros, 21, has a handicap of 0.4 and has still to make a decision on whether to turn professional.

"I have to finish university - it is something my parents have always told me to do, specially my father," he said.

"I have no pressure for being Seve's son at all. I have nothing to demonstrate anybody, just me."
