Ballycasey stands firm for RSA

Ballycasey heads 23 confirmations for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham on Wednesday.

The grey is ante-post favourite for the three-mile novice championship after winning both his starts over fences, including the Grade One Dr PJ Moriarty Novice Chase at Leopardstown last month.

His trainer Willie Mullins has just one other entry, Champagne Fever, who is market leader for the Racing Post Arkle Chase on Tuesday.

The other leading fancies have stood their ground at the six-day stage, among which are Smad Place, Morning Assembly, Corrin Wood, Carlingford Lough and Sam Winner.
