Former British number one Elena Baltacha has targeted an April return from ankle surgery.
Baltacha went under the knife after the London Olympics and has been out ever since, although she was named as a non-playing member of the Great Britain Fed Cup team competing in Israel this week.
The 29-year-old has revealed her recuperation was progressing nicely and that she is hoping to return to competition in two months' time.
She said: "The recovery has been going really well.
"It's my third week on court and I'm hitting really well, working on my condition.
"My ankle seems to be fine, I just need to maintain it.
"Hopefully I will be back in April. Closer to the time I will make a decision."
