Base team consider options

Back To Base may bid to follow-up her Limerick debut success during this month's three-day Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby weekend at the Curragh.

Connections of the David Wachman-trained two-year-old filly were pleased with her racecourse bow on Saturday when she landed a seven-furlong maiden in promising fashion, but are not too getting carried away by the performance.

"There are no real plans for her at the minute. She'll probably go for a winners of one somewhere," said Frank Berry, racing manager to owner JP McManus.

"She travelled well, picked up and won nicely.

"We'll see how she comes out of the race and she might run somewhere over the Derby weekend at the Curragh.

"You never know with these maidens, but it looked like she did it nicely and she should get a bit further in time."
