Battle for second goes on

The Worcester Wolves and Sheffield Sharks remain locked together in the battle for second place in the BBL Championship after wins on Friday.

Alex Owumi's 21 points led the Wolves to a narrow 84-79 win over the Glasgow Rocks, for whom Daniel Northern scored 18 points and had 14 rebounds.

The Sharks also moved to 52 points, four behind leaders the Newcastle Eagles with a game to go, after hammering the Manchester Giants 86-69.

Michael Tuck poured in 23 points and added 10 rebounds, while James Jones led Manchester with 19 points.

The Plymouth Raiders beat the London Lions 102-94 with Matt Pressey, Nicholas George and Dainius Vaitelis all scoring over 20 points.
