Bec earmarked as Hennessy hope
Next season's Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury is likely to be on Le Bec's agenda.
Emma Lavelle's chaser emerged unscathed after taking a crashing fall four from home in the RSA Chase when still going well.
Lavelle would prefer to run him again this season and while she is not overly keen on Aintree, a trip to Scotland may be in the offing.
"Touch wood he's fine, and he had his first canter this morning," said the Andover handler. "Understandably he's a bit stiff but essentially he's fine, amazingly.
"He was still going well and I know it was a long way from home but Aidan (Coleman, jockey) said he hadn't come out of second gear.
"I'd like him to have another run as I don't want to end the season on that note. In an ideal world he'd go to Aintree but I'm not sure the track will suit. There might be something up at Ayr for him but good ground is important.
"I still think he's well handicapped so he's a horse we could have a crack at the Hennessy with."
