Beck is latest Wales worry
Wales have been dealt another blow ahead of their RBS Six Nations defence with centre Ashley Beck the latest injury concern.
The Ospreys star, 22, sustained ankle ligament damage during the RaboDirect PRO12 game against Newport Gwent Dragons on New Year's Eve and is expected to be sidelined until February.
"Ashley suffered a significant ligament injury to his ankle during the New Year's Eve fixture at Rodney Parade," Ospreys head physiotherapist Chris Towers said.
"We have conducted investigations over the course of the last week to determine the full extent of the ligament damage and plan his rehabilitation effectively.
"Based on the advice received, we are currently treating this as a six-eight week injury so would expect to see him back in action by the end of February."
Although Jonathan Davies and Jamie Roberts were always likely to be Warren Gatland's first-choice centre pairing, Beck has quickly established himself as a valuable member of the Wales squad.
