Sussex leg-spinner Will Beer has signed a new two-year contract with the county, which will see him remain at Hove until at least the end of the 2014 season.
Beer, 24, is a graduate of Sussex's youth and academy set-up and has mainly been used in one-day cricket during his time in the first team.
He played in 10 of the Sharks' Friends Life t20 matches in 2012 taking 8 wickets, while also featuring in seven Clydesdale Bank 40 games, claiming 9 wickets with a best of 3-27 in the crucial home clash with Warwickshire Bears.
Beer, who starred in Sussex's Twenty20 Finals Day victory in 2009, said: "It is a fantastic honour for me to sign a new two-year contract with Sussex.
"I have grown up playing my cricket with Sussex and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and hopefully contributing towards winning trophies for this club".
Sussex club coach Mark Davis said: "Will has steadily improved year upon year and it is great from a club perspective that he has signed a new contract.
"Hopefully this will allow him to develop further and develop into the complete player we think he can be."
