Bentley frustrated by Shrimps
Morecambe boss Jim Bentley was disappointed his side suffered a second successive defeat following a 1-0 loss at struggling York.
Bentley feels his side did not do enough to win the game but he also feels they did not deserve to lose and lamented a sloppy first half goal.
Bentley was quick to praise opposition goalkeeper Michael Ingham for his save late on from Jack Redshaw which would have seen his side leave with a point.
"I don't think we've done enough in the game to win it if I'm honest, but I also don't think we should have lost," he said.
"We started brightly and looked a threat a few times. I think we just invited pressure upon us from our own mistakes. Their goalkeeper has made some cracking saves and we've had a little bit of hard luck.
"The disappointing thing for me is you pick a strong team to play at York and we concede from a set piece. We've lost the game because we haven't done our jobs.
"It was a ridiculously easy goal and when we had corners they were aggressive and touch tight.
"We went out second half and had a go but when you give York, a team who have only won four games, a goal they've got something to cling on to and they find an extra yard."
