Birdie blitz boosts Bjorn
Thomas Bjorn stormed into contention on day two at Augusta with a second round 68 that included eight birdies.
The 43-year-old Dane is handily placed at three under par heading into the weekend and is more than happy with the state of his game.
He told Sky Sports: "I played really well today to be honest, I hit a lot of good shots and got myself in great positions on the golf course all the time and holed a few more putts today than I did yesterday.
"But I was in a position to do it and I felt my golf was really solid most of the way today. A few bogeys in there but this is Augusta National, so it is going to throw a few of those your way, but it was a good day's work."
As for how the course is playing, Bjorn added: "It is very playable but it is still tough. You have just got to position yourself properly and not take on any stupid shots, but that is what this golf course is all about."
Bjorn has been to Augusta 10 times and his best finish is 18th, so he has every chance of improving on that this weekend, if nothing else.
"I have got two more days and the golf course is going to get tougher and tougher," the world No 29 said.
"I feel like I am playing solid. I will get on the range this afternoon and then get home and relax and see what the weekend brings.
"I am comfortable on the golf course, I feel good about my game so lets get out there and see what happens.
