Blackburn face Cardiff first

Blackburn Rovers will kick off their 2014/15 Championship campaign with a clash against Cardiff City at Ewood Park.

Gary Bowyer's side finished eighth in the league last season, while Cardiff suffered relegation from the Premier League after just one year in the English top flight.

After facing Blackpool in their next fixture, Rovers will travel to Norwich City to take on another relegated Premier League club.

Charlton Athletic will visit Ewood Park five days before Christmas, while Rovers will take on Bolton Wanderers away from home on Boxing Day.

Rovers will end the year with home match against Middlesbrough and will kick off 2015 with a home fixture against Middlesbrough.

Bowyer and his players will wrap up the regular Championship season with a home match against Ipswich Town.
