Blackhawks into conference final

The Chicago Blackhawks are into the Western Conference Final for a second year running with a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.

A Patrick Kane goal nearly 10 minutes into overtime earned them the victory and with it a 4-2 series success.

Up next will be the winner of the Anaheim Ducks/Los Angeles Kings series.

It was equally dramatic between the New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, with the former taking a 2-1 win and consequently a 4-3 series success.

Brad Richards scored the winning goal and Henrik Lundqvist made 35 saves, completing a comeback from 2-1 down in the series.
