Blackhawks march on

Brent Seabrook and Jonathan Toews had a goal and an assist apiece to help the Chicago Blackhawks see off the Los Angeles Kings 3-2.

Patrick Sharp also tallied for the Blackhawks, who remain unbeaten in regulation this season and lead the NHL, while Mike Richards scored two for the Kings who were 3-0 down by the time they got on the board.

The Blackhawks have now scored in each of their first 15 games this season and need to extend that streak by one to match the NHL record.

Pascal Dupuis had two goals and an assist to help the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Buffalo Sabres 4-3.

Sidney Crosby added a goal and two assists for the Penguins, while Paul Martin scored the winner with two minutes left in the third.

Goals from Carl Hagelin and Derek Stepan saw the New York Rangers come from behind to beat the Washington Capitals 2-1.

John Carlson put the Capitals ahead in the first period.

The St Louis Blues edged past the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 following a shootout.

The Minnesota Wild beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 and the Boston Bruins overcame the Winnipeg Jets by the same scoreline, while the Calgary Flames were 43 winners over the Dallas Stars.
