France coach Laurent Blanc admits midfield is an area of concern as he considers his preliminary squad ahead of June's European Championships.
Blanc has overseen a revitalisation of the France squad since taking over from Raymond Domenech, after Les Bleus endured a woeful 2010 World Cup which saw them depart miserably at the group stage.
The former France defender has put together a new-look squad which topped their Euro 2012 qualification group and have been impressive.
However, the likes of Morgan Amalfitano, Yohan Cabaye and Yann M'Vila have little real experience - something Blanc admits could be a problem.
He told L'Equipe: "I almost have my list of 23. My final hesitation concerns a long-term problem - the midfield is suffering from a lack of leadership and a lack of players with international experience.
"There are players who have the potential to be in the France team - but players who have proven they can really be a part of it, there are very few."
