Kevin Love had 29 points, 15 rebounds and nine dishes, while Kevin Martin contributed 22 points for the Timberwolves.

Damian Lillard poured in 36 points for the Blazers, who rallied having trailed by as many as 32 points in the second but came up short.

Dwayne Wade scored 32 points as the Miami Heat rallied to a 97-94 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

LeBron James contributed 24 points despite an ankle injury to help the Heat overcome a 15-point deficit, with Ray Allen draining the winning three-pointer late on.

Kemba Walker scored 29 points, including a game-winning jump shot on the buzzer in overtime, as the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Toronto Raptors 104-102.

Manu Ginobili scored 24 points and led a late surge for the San Antonio Spurs as they pulled away for a 108-101 victory over Phoenix which ended the Suns' five-game winning run.

Dirk Nowitzki returned from a virus with 20 points as the Dallas Mavericks beat the Memphis Grizzlies 105-88.

Brandon Jennings had 28 points and 14 assists as the Detroit Pistons edged out the Boston Celtics 107-106, while the Utah Jazz overcame the Orlando Magic 86-82.

The Washington Wizards were 113-107 winners over the Brooklyn Nets, the Atlanta Hawks saw off the Sacramento Kings 124-107 and the New York Knicks overcame the Milwaukee Bucks 107-101 in double overtime.

There were also wins for the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers.
