Bolton v N Forest preview

Bolton manager Dougie Freedman is likely to stick with David Ngog and Jermaine Beckford in attack for Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with Nottingham Forest at the Reebok Stadium.

Ngog and Beckford played up front together for the first time in over two months in last weekend's 2-1 FA Cup victory over Blackpool and, after seeing them both get on the scoresheet, Freedman could keep faith with the pair.

Defenders David Wheater (knee), Marc Tierney (foot) and Tyrone Mears remain sidelined so the manager is expected to name an unchanged back-four.

Freedman has plenty of midfield options should he wish to make any changes, with Darren Pratley, Josh Vela and Lee Chung-Yong all in contention to play some part.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, will check on Eric Lichaj ahead of the trip.

Lichaj faces a race against time to be fit after the American full-back suffered a knock during the 5-0 thrashing of West Ham in the FA Cup last Sunday.

Jamie Paterson will be aiming to keep his place in the starting line-up after his hat-trick against the Hammers while Greg Halford may again lead the line for Billy Davies' team as Darius Henderson is set to miss out through injury.

David Vaughan's thigh problem looks likely to keep the on-loan Sunderland midfielder out while defenders Danny Collins (ankle) and Kelvin Wilson (back) are not yet ready to return.
