Boro opener for Birmingham

Birmingham kick off their 2014/15 Championship campaign with a trip north to face Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on August 9.

After narrowly avoiding relegation last term, finishing 21st in the English second tier, Lee Clark's side will aim to make a positive start with successive home games at St Andrew's following their opening day outing.

Brighton and Ipswich will be the first to visit the Midlands club, with two games in the space of three days.

A trip to face newly-promoted Brentford follows before a visit to the DW Stadium to face FA Cup semi-finalists Wigan Athletic on August 30.

Blues welcome Derby County to St Andrew's on Boxing Day before a trip to the City Ground to take on promotion candidates Nottingham Forest two days later.

Birmingham's final home fixture sees Charlton make the trip north on April 25, before a season finale against Bolton Wanderers on May 2 at the Reebok Stadium where Blues snatched a 2-2 draw on the final day of the last campaign to secure their Championship status.
