Swansea manager Michael Laudrup expects record signing Pablo Hernandez's confidence to rise after netting his first goal for the club.
Hernandez joined the Swans from Valencia for a £5.55million fee on the final day of the transfer window, and has taken time to bed in in south Wales.
But there were several bright moments against Wigan at the weekend, none more so than his sharp turn and shot to open the scoring 20 minutes into the second half, setting Swansea on their way to a morale-boosting victory that ended a run of five games without a win.
Laudrup said: "When you come to a new club, with a new culture, you want to create a good impression. Some times when you do that you try to do too many things at the same time. But this will do his confidence good.
"There is a difference between playing here and playing in Spain. This league is much more physical than Pablo is used to, which is why I have taken time with him. Sometimes I have brought him on from the bench, sometimes you play him from the start, but he is adjusting."
