Boss: Shrews clash not crucial

Stevenage manager Graham Westley insists Saturday's basement clash with Shrewsbury is not a must-win game.

Boro picked up a point from Tuesday's goalless draw with Wolves to leapfrog the Shrews and dump them on the foot of the table.

But just two points currently separate the bottom six teams and Westley expects the relegation battle to go to the wire.

He said: "We probably need to win three or four games, I'd say, to stay in the league, so it doesn't make Saturday a must-win game.

"It's a game that we'd love to win, of course, but if we fail to win on Saturday and won the next five we'd have plenty of points in the bag."
