Bottas to test for Williams

Valtteri Bottas will drive for Williams at the two-day young driver test at Silverstone starting on Thursday.

Just three teams will be on show at the Northamptonshire track over the next two days, with the remainder of the 12 F1 outfits preferring to blood their young drivers in Abu Dhabi towards the end of the campaign.

Bottas already has considerable experience as Williams' reserve driver, with the Finn taking part in several first practice sessions at GP weekends this year, in addition to four previous full test days.

Also on track will be HRT, with 24-year-old Chinese driver Ma Qing Hua at the wheel for the first time.

Marussia are offering opportunities to Rio Haryanto and Max Chilton, both of whom took part in last year's young driver test, the latter with Force India.

Chilton will run on Thursday morning and Friday afternoon, with Haryanto driving Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

The test will utilise the full grand prix circuit on Thursday and the international circuit on Friday.
