Botti mulls Hasopop options

Marco Botti is likely to make a late call on whether Hasopop runs at Doncaster or Newbury on Saturday.

While the Newmarket trainer would prefer to take the two-year-old to Newbury for the seven-furlong Horris Hill Stakes, he has not ruled out a late switch to Doncaster for the Park Hill Hospital Stakes over a furlong shorter.

"He will run in one or the other. I haven't made my mind up. I think we will probably leave it until the morning, track both races and see," Botti said.

"I would prefer to go to Newbury rather than Doncaster, simply because last time he stayed on. I think he needs the seven furlongs right now, not six, and he likes soft ground."

Hasopop has won twice over six furlongs but disappointed on his only attempt so far at the longer trip when last of seven behind Fantastic Moon in the Solario Stakes at Sandown.
