Bowlers inspire Durham to win

Yorkshire collapsed to a 28-run defeat against Durham in the NatWest T20 Blast at Headingley.

Chasing a target of 124, Yorkshire went from 47-1 to 95 all out with Alex Lees' 19 the top score.

Durham seamer John Hastings claimed 3-22 and leg-spinner Scott Borthwick 2-11 as Yorkshire were bowled out in 17.2 overs.

Phil Mustard's 40 had earlier set up Durham's total of 123-9 after they opted to bat.

Opening batsman Mustard struck four fours in his 43-ball knock and Gareth Breese's 30 not out from 19 deliveries added some late impetus to the innings.

Yorkshire spinners Azeem Rafiq (3-20) and Adil Rashid (3-14) each finished with three wickets.

"It was an unacceptable performance," said Yorkshire coach Jason Gillespie.

"We were poor with the bat and like rabbits in the headlights. We did not adapt to the situation and paid the price.

"It was a very similar performance to the one we put in against Nottinghamshire last week at Trent Bridge.

"I thought we bowled and fielded very well but to come out and bat like that was very disappointing."
