Bradley camp issues Welsh warning

Trainer Fergal O'Brien will resist the temptation to run Bradley in the Coral Welsh National if the ground is overly demanding.

The eight-year-old chestnut was cut in price for the Chepstow centrepiece on December 27 after finishing second in the Grade Three Henrietta Knight Handicap Chase at Cheltenham's Open meeting.

However, his Gloucestershire-based trainer said: "I wouldn't want to run him in very heavy ground at Chepstow.

"I know he has form on soft ground, but Chepstow heavy is very bad.

"There are plenty of other long-distance chases for a horse like him round places like Haydock and Wetherby."
