Dwayne Bravo struck a six off the last ball to help Chennai Super Kings seal a five-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders in an IPL thriller.
Chasing 159, an opening partnership of 97 from Mike Hussey (56) and Murali Vijay (36) laid the platform for Chennai although Sunil Narine, who finished with two for 14 from his four overs, dismissed the duo in the same over.
Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 28 off 21 balls put the Super Kings in pole position and although they needed five runs to win off the final delivery, Bravo smashed Rajat Bhatia over the long on boundary to help his side maintain their play-off spot.
Earlier, Gautam Gambhir struck six fours and three sixes to top score for the Knight Riders with 62, while he was ably supported by Brendon McCullum (37), with the duo putting on 99 for the opening wicket.
Yet Shadab Jakati took two scalps while there were also wickets for Ben Hilfenhaus, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja as Kolkata were restricted to 158 for six.
