Brechet moves to Troyes

Ligue 1 newcomers Troyes have signed former Sochaux defender Jeremie Brechet on a one-year contract.

The 32-year-old, who won three France caps in 2001 and 2002 while with Lyon, was a free agent after leaving Les Franche-Comtois at the end of last season. He has also played for Inter Milan, Real Sociedad and PSV Eindhoven.

He had been on trial with ESTAC and did enough to earn a deal with the club, but is unlikely to feature in Saturday's season opener against Valenciennes.
