British hopefuls fell short of the finals on day two of the ISU Short Track Speed Skating European Championships in Malmo.
The men's 5,000 metres relay squad of Richard Shoebridge, Paul Stanley, Jack Whelbourne and Jon Eley went close in their semi-final, narrowly missing out on a top-two finish by a split second.
Hungary won the race in six minutes and 58.343 seconds, with second place going to Italy in six mins 58.434 secs and Great Britain crossing the line third in 6:58.548.
Stanley and Eley were earlier eliminated in the quarter-finals of the men's 500m individual event, with Charlotte Gilmartin falling at the same stage in the women's 500m after a third-place finish.
Britain lagged well off the pace in their women's 3,000m relay semi-final, as Gilmartin, Alex Stanley, Kathryn Thomas and Elise Christie took third place, over 20 seconds behind qualifiers Poland and Holland.
