England seamer Stuart Broad was missing from training in Mumbai on Thursday morning but is not thought to be a major injury doubt.
The vice-captain was a fitness doubt for the Test series opener against India in Ahmedabad due to a heel injury sustained in a warm-up fixture against Mumbai A but was able to play a full part.
His absence from nets on Thursday is not thought to be related to that problem, with an England spokesman describing his condition as "under the weather".
With Steven Finn ruled out of the second Test, which starts on Friday, and England already 1-0 down in the fourth-match series, the tourists will be desperate for Broad to be at the peak of his powers.
Should there be any deterioration in his condition, Surrey quick Stuart Meaker and Durham's Graham Onions are standing by.
