Bromby set for Town role

Sky Sports understands former Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United defender Leigh Bromby is set to join Huddersfield Town's coaching staff.

Bromby is out of work after leaving his role with Leeds United's academy earlier this summer, but the 34-year-old is set for a quick return to coaching.

Bromby joined the Leeds staff in April 2013 and he was highly regarded within the corridors of power at Elland Road.

However, the former central defender left the West Yorkshire side this summer in the wake of widespread changes at the club under new owner Massimo Cellino.

Huddersfield have moved quickly to bring in Bromby and he has been named development coach for the club's under 18s and been given the task of helping develop young players for Mark Robins' first team.
