Broncos snap up Drinkwater

London Broncos have completed the signing of Australian half-back Josh Drinkwater from St George Illawarra.

The 21-year-old, who made his NRL debut for the Dragons against Newcastle Knights last season, will join his former team-mate Atelea Vea among a host of new faces at Barnet.

"I'm really looking forward to playing in a different environment," Drinkwater said. "It's something I wanted to do since I was a child and when this opportunity popped up I had to take it. I can't wait to be a part of the Broncos.

"It's obviously a massive change and challenge for me and I am confident I can make an impact for the Broncos."

London coach Tony Rea said: "He's a very highly regarded organiser and a very astute player. Effectively when you recruit your number seven you're giving him the keys to the car and it's his job to steer it."
