Brown critical of performance

Cheltenham defender Troy Brown admits he was 'poor' and made mistakes in the first half of the 2-1 loss to Accrington.

Brown endured a torrid 45 minutes as George Bowerman opened the scoring with a free header before Brown allowed Bowerman to tee-up what proved to be the winning goal.

"I am man enough to say I made mistakes and I was poor in the first half," Brown told the Western Daily Press.

"They dominated us all over the park and for the first goal it was a cross from deep, and he (Bowerman) has sneaked in between me and Sido (Jombati). For the second goal I've let the guy cross it and someone's won it with a free header.

"Personally I was poor and as a team we were poor in the first half so it was disappointing all round.

"Everyone makes mistakes and every player has a bad game. There are plenty more games left and I can't let one game ruin the season."
