Bruce to hold Quinn talks
Hull City manager Steve Bruce is planning to hold talks with Stephen Quinn after confirming there have been ‘nibbles’ for the midfielder.
Quinn has made 68 appearances for Hull since his 2012 move from Sheffield United and played a key role in the club winning promotion back to the Premier League.
However, the 28-year-old started only four games in the top flight last season and could again find himself playing a peripheral role in the coming campaign.
Leicester City and Derby County have been linked with bids for Quinn, and Bruce has acknowledged the Republic of Ireland international is keen to be playing regular first-team football.
\"It's a conversation I'll have with him. I don't want it to be broadcast,\" Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail.
\"He's been fantastic for the club and I don't want to just discard him. He's still got something to offer. The big problem for Quinny is that he wants to play. That's always the issue.
\"Whether anything is going to happen we'll have to wait and see.
\"We've had one or two nibbles but we've had nibbles for four or five of them and nothing's come of it. That's normal. I nibble away at this time of the year so you've got to expect the same.\"
