Bruins recover to stun Canadiens

The Boston Bruins levelled up their Eastern Conference semi-final with the Montreal Canadiens at 1-1 with a come-from-behind 5-3 victory.

The Canadiens appeared well poised to take a 2-0 lead against the Presidents' Trophy winners after Thomas Vanek's two goals and another from Mike Weaver helped them to a 3-1 lead with just over 13 minutes remaining.

But the Bruins, for who Daniel Paille opened the scoring, hit back in the final 10 minutes through Dougie Hamilton, Patrice Bergeron, Reilly Smith and Milan Lucic.

Marian Gaborik scored with just seven seconds left in regulation time and then bagged the winner in overtime as the Los Angeles Kings drew first blood in their series with the Anaheim Ducks.

The Kings seemed to be heading for a first defeat in five, but Gaborik's heroics gave them a 3-2 victory.
