Bryzgalov shutout sets up win

Ilya Bryzgalov's second-straight shutout helped the Minnesota Wild clinch a 1-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets at the MTS Centre.

Charlie Coyle scored the only goal in the second period while Russian goaltender Bryzgalov made 24 saves as the Wild moved seven points clear of the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference.

At the Prudential Center, Mark Giordano fired the winner 23 seconds into the third period but it was Calgary Flames goalie Karri Ramo who ensured his side rode out a 1-0 Eastern Conference win over the New Jersey Devils.

The Flames are still hopeful of qualifying for the Stanley Cup playoffs after Ramo made 31 saves on Monday night.

There was also a shutout for the Anaheim Ducks' rookie goalkie John Gibson, who made 18 saves in a 3-0 victory over the Vancouver Canucks at the Rogers Arena.

Daniel Winnik, Kyle Palmieri and Matt Beleskey scored the goals that snapped the Ducks' two-game skid and kept Anaheim three points ahead of the San Jose Sharks in the Pacific Division.
