Buick relishing Arc challenge

William Buick is relishing the prospect of riding Nathaniel in the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on October 6.

John Gosden's charge landed the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown in July before finishing second behind Danedream and Snow Fairy in the King George and Irish Champion Stakes respectively.

He is likely to meet those two high-class fillies again in France but Buick admits he would prefer some juice in the ground.

"He's doing very well, he's had a magnificent season so far, he's done nothing wrong," Buick told Racing UK.

"He's a credit to himself and hopefully he'll go to the Arc in good form - any rain would be welcome. The Arc looks like a spectacular race this year so we'll have to wait and see.

"It's a fantastic race, it's the ultimate race so it would be fantastic to go there with a live chance."
